THE BEST TV SERIES FOR LEARNING ENGLISH

  • Sherlock. Only for Sherlock Holmes´ followers! you must have an advanced English to understand its complex vocabulary but it pays off! 😅
  • The Big Band Theory. It´s great if you want to pick up American cultural references but sometimes you need to understand the jokes only used by certain characters like Sheldon, apart from specific scientific concepts you can learn... anyway, it´s a popular comedy you can´t miss!.
  • How I met your mother. American sitcom with a lot catchphrases to make you laugh! It´s suitable for high beginners to intermediate students, so "suit up"!😂
  • Sex in the city. Who hasn´t heard of Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte, the four trendy New-Yorker women? It´s an enjoyable show easy to get because the language is very simple.
  • Friends. The classic show to encourage your interest in English!. Its dialogues are witty and easy to understand because they are in real life situations.

5 new goals for 2021

I would like to suggest you New year´s resolutions you can easily keep:

  • Set a goal to try something new each month: a recipe to add to your usual diet, a new restaurant to pop in at the same time you support local business in your area, a different hairstyle to match with your own one, and so on.

  • Read, read and read. It doesn´t matter where and when, if it´s print book (I honestly prefer) or e-book, just think about a new story and let your mind flows. It´s time to sit in a corner, relax and enjoy novel or poetry, you choose!.

  • What about listening to a new playlist? A new music genre maybe? There´re so many potential health benefits if you need any pretext to plunge into a new experience for your ears!

  • Walk for an hour every day. I know you missed doing exercise after Christmas holidays, so now it is the time to work out. You can start only walking and control your time, steps, heartbeats through different apps and smart watches, so what are you waiting for?

  • Take safe outdoor trips. It´s possible you have an itch for flying but it´s the moment to change the way we travel, for instance visiting National and State parks (depending on the restrictions of your country, don´t forget it!) and just going with the flow of the nature.
